Between Southern Decadence and Labor Day weekend in general, the French Quarter was a nightmare this weekend, at least for the people who were working there. I am sure if I was there for recreational purposes I would have had a great time. So many drunks in the store--fucking up things and screaming profanities. All the gay boys were funny though. I think they all had a blast at Decadence.
At any rate, my life is not too exciting lately. Either I am at work or school or doing a ridiculous amount of homework. Right now I am at school as a matter of fact. In "torts" class. We are discussing "false imprisonment" which is totally clear to me so I have stopped paying attention...
Has anyone ever seen the movie Sonny? James Franco is so hot and it finally came from Netflix. It is the movie Nicholas Cage made here. I like how they did not make New Orleans all cheezy and Cage's cameo as the gay pimp was funny...

Hello. I know it has been forevy er since I even looked at this blog...I finished my thesis and figured that I did not want to look at a blog for a LONG ass time. I am still working at Urban Outfitters and I started law school...
Law school is better than I thought it would be. I think the evening program is much better than the day program. The people are a lot nicer. Day students can be assholes. I am glad I go to school at night...
I am actually in class right now and should not be dooing this at all, but whatever. The professor is actually lecturing, which does not happen too often in law school...
I sit next to Jairo and Mario and Julie. They are good people, more to come about them later...

So, I like everybody so far at Urban Outfitters. I am happy to be considered "trendy enough" to work there. I am putting finishing touches on thesis and hope to soon have it out of my hair--meeting with Dr. Myers tomorrow to discuss. I also officially put my deposit down for law school so I need to find out exactly how this joint program works...
I promise not to quit law school this time.

This is my first time posting since Blogger officially got an overhaul. Well, my thesis defense went well. I passed with provisions, meaning I have to go in and edit it a little before it gets officially bound and "published." I just have to get motivated to look at it again and go in and make it pretty. I did however, NOT pass my comprehensive exams. I get to take them again though, whenever I am ready...so, I guess it could be worse. I was not to confident about the test though. I knew I did not do my best. It was a busy time...I was working around the clock at that awful job. Thank god I quit. At least that job did not cost me my thesis, which is NOT free. The test has no tution fee that comes with it, so like I said, it could be worse.
So right now I am looking for a job, my birthday is tomorrow and I start some summer classes on Monday. These summer classes will most likely save me a year or so of grad school during the normal semesters. Loyola is not so good at offering electives in the evening, so I might as well knock them out this summer while my schedule is flexible...
I guess I should go tinker with my thesis. Hopefully Urban Outfitters will call tomorrow or Thursday and tell me I have a job there...

I know, I know. Hey, at least I am posting today, okay? Well, some of you might know I quit my job. I know I am a quitter, but this time is was actually deserving. I don't feel like getting into it, perhaps later. Now I am just concentrating on finishing my thesis, which now ACTUALLY SEEMS POSSIBLE!!! and, my back has not hurt in days!!!
May 11 is coming soon, and I be able to get out into the world again. I look forward to seeing you all again soon!
